BECKENHAM TO HAMPTON COURT KIDS RIDE

SUNDAY 19th JUNE 2016
BECKENHAM TO HAMPTON COURT KIDS RIDE IN AID OF o2e. (year 7 and above). 35 miles! is a challenge for many and I am sure it will have many out of their comfort zone, but with some training I am sure it will be a great experience for all.
The outline for the day is to leave Beckenham and follow the Waterlink way to Greenwich/Cutty Sark (virtually traffic free all the way), then follow LCN route 4 to Hampton Court.
From the Cutty Sark on very quiet roads we will head towards Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast, a bit on a busier road then under London Bridge through Borough Mkt (it is a shared use path but probably have to walk this bit as busy with pedestrians) onto the London eye, again on quiet roads. Staying south of the river going past the Houses of Parliament towards Lambeth bridge, getting onto the bridge using the cycle lane controlled by traffic lights. over the bridge, between the bridge and Lots rd it is either Cycle super highway or shared use path. Over Putney Bridge along the tow path to Barnes, Richmond Park, Ham, follow the river Path to Kingston over Kingston Bridge onto the river path to Hampton court.
The train from Hampton Court goes to Waterloo, easy to change onto the Hayes line.
All children riding need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Most of the route is sign posted but we will aim to ride in groups of similar child ability. The more people that know the route before hand the better, on the 5th of June there will be an adult ride to learn the route.
There is no entrance fee or charge for the ride although it would be great to raise as much money for o2e as possible.
If you want your little cherubs / munchkins / pesky kids to join in the fun and raise some money for o2e then please email joewebbuk@yahoo.com  for further info. ASAP as places are limited.
