Bev and DD on Choppers

Bev and DD will be cycling the 127 miles of the Leeds-Liverpool canal on Raleigh Choppers.

Set off from Albert Dock on the Saturday morning, they hope to arrive Sunday evening at Leeds Basin. The 127 miles will be a little tricky on Raleigh Choppers, which some of you might remember from the 1970s when these were iconic and fashionable means of transport for spoilt children (I didn’t have one). These particular Mark III models have three gears that don’t work, non-existent brakes and a tendency to flip backwards if you pedal hard and will therefore be perfect for their adventure!
