Heidi’s £1 a pancake fundraiser

At the O2e Launch Night on 16th January, a soft-voiced person stepped forward and calmly suggested the £1 a pancake fundraising idea. That person was Heidi, one of the special people who attend the CASPA activities. Helen Dyer, Chief Executive of CASPA, spoke with great warmth about Heidi, who has developed tremendously since coming to CASPA events and is now much more confident. “She would never have dreamed she could ever stand in front of a room full of people, let alone take the microphone and suggest a fund raising event”. Heidi completely charmed the audience on the night and received such a warm welcome from lovely O2e community. Let’s make Heidi’s idea a big success….

So Heidi’s idea is for all O2e supporters and their friends and family to donate £1 for every pancake eaten on Shrove Tuesday this year.  Simples.  We will set up a Just Giving page shortly for donations to be received.  The money will not be given in return for a benefit in kind (as you would be eating the pancake anyway), so it can therefore be treated as a donation and is eligible for gift aid (so please tick the boxes appropriately).

Participation is voluntary and we will not be auditing claims of pancakes eaten, but should you wish to chuck in a couple of pounds more, then please feel free.

There will be a prize for the largest donation – a signed copy of the Brownlee Brothers autobiography “Swim, bike, run; our triathlon story”, kindly donated to O2e by the Brownlee Trust.
